How to use honey to heal a wound?

the honey and bee products such as beeswax contribute to healing. In particular with regard to simple wounds such as scrape, scratch, scrape, small cut … In short, when the skin is accidentally torn off or opened.

For this type of superficial wound, washing with physiological serum is preferred and the use of first-line antiseptics is increasingly discussed.

HONEYPATCH's recommendations are as follows:

1) To clean the wound with mild soap with a washcloth to debride (remove foreign bodies) and rinse with physiological liquid, failing that, with lukewarm clear water.

2) To dry the wound with a gauze fabric (sterile or not). Otherwise, a clean towel. Avoid cotton wadding!

3) Apply a thin layer of HONEYPATCH healing honey (20g tube) Protect with a tape. If the wound is too large, apply a mini DRY patch (already soaked in our healing honey) to avoid tearing the tissues during the next treatment. Its mesh and texture prevent tearing of dermis tissue.

4) Protect with a tape. If the wound is too large, apply a mini DRY patch (already soaked in our healing honey) to avoid tearing the tissues during the next treatment. Its mesh and texture prevent tearing of dermis tissue.

When to change the dressing? We recommend changing every 24 to 48 hours depending on whether the dressing is soiled or not.
